5H - Charles, NK8O will be active again as 5H3DX from Zinga, Tanzania
between 24 February and 21 March. This time he will be joined by
his brother-in-law Fred, N8AX (5H3AX). In their spare time the will
operate mainly CW with some FT8 and other digital modes on on 160-

6W - Dani, EA4ATI has been active as 6W1/EA4ATI from Dakar, Senegal
since 7 February, and will remain there until 26 February. He
operates SSB on 40, 20, 15 and 10 metres. QSL via LoTW, or via

HR - Dennis, W1UE is active as W1UE/HR9 and HQ9X (QSL via KQ1F and LoTW)
from Roatan Island (NA-057) until 28 February, including an entry
in the ARRL DX CW Contest. [TNX NG3K]
I - IO3RT and IO3AF are two special callsigns for ARI Thiene to
commemorate 100th anniversary of Arturo Ferrarin's epic flight from
Rome to Tokyo. Look for activity on 80-6 metres SSB, CW and digital
modes between 14 February and 31 May. QSL via IQ3BM.
KL - Henry, NL0H has been active as NL0H/p [425DXN 1500] from St.
Lawrence Island (NA-040) since 14 February, length of stay unknown.
Look for him on 80, 40, 30 and 20 metres FT8 and SSB. QSL direct
to home call.
KP4 - The Vieques Island Amateur Radio Club, NP3VI will be active from
the Fortin Conde de Mirasol Museum on Vieques Island (NA-249) from
00.00 UTC on 21 February until 16 UTC on 23 February. They will
operate SSB, FT8 and possibly CW on 80-10 metres. QSL via EA5GL.
OE - 4UNR is the special callsign for the VIC Amateur Radio Contest DX
Club (4U1A) to celebrate World Radio Day on 13-29 February. This
activity counts for Austria for DXCC, and for the Vienna Interna-
tional Centre for the CQ DX Marathon. QSL via UA3DX, direct or
bureau.
PJ7 - Tom, AA9A will be active again as PJ7AA from Sint Maarten (NA-105)
from 29 February to 28 March. He will operate CW, FT8 and SSB on
80-10 metres. QSL via Club Log's OQRS, LoTW or direct to AA9A.
UA9 - Alexander RA3AV, Yuri UA0KBG and Victor UA3AKO will be active as
R207RRC from Kosa Dvukh Pilotov (AS-207, new one for IOTA) [425DXN
1496] on 3-10 April. They will operate CW and SSB on 40, 30, 20,
17, 15 metres with two stations. QSL via Club Log's OQRS, or via

V4 - Once again John, W5JON will be active as V47JA from St. Kitts
(NA-104) from 21 February to 5 March. He will operate SSB and FT8

W - Oleh, KD7WPJ, will be active as KD7WPJ/6 from Santa Catalina Island
(NA-066) on 15-17 February. He will operate FT8, FT4, CW and SSB on

W - Look for W1JXN/4 to be active holiday style from Gasparilla Island
(NA-069) from 25 February to 4 March. He will operate mainly CW on

YB - YB8RW, YE8XBN, YE8XW and YF8XAT will be active as 7I8X from the
Widi Islands (OC-145) and Mayu Island (OC-145) between 21 and 29

VP8_so - Announced frequencies for the forthcoming VP8PJ DXpedition to Signy

Special QSX instructions for Japan: 160m CW QSX down 2, 160m FT8
QSX 1908, 80m SSB QSX 3795-3805 kHz.
VP8PJ will always operate FT8 Fox & Hound mode, except or 60m
(5357 kHz, normal mode). Any station located in Africa or Oceania
may call regardless of the region the expedition is currently
calling for.
The "Braveheart" is expected to depart on 15 February - follow her
on https://sorkney.com/garmin-inreach/. During the voyage, which
is expected to take six days depending on weather conditions, look
for the team to be QRV as ZL1NA/mm.

direct to M0URX. The logs will be uploaded to LoTW six months after
the DXpedition (but early donors will receive their LoTW confirma-
tion while the team is on the island).

5Z4/G3AB LOGS ---> Tim, M0URX has received "the 5Z4/G3AB log update for the
most recent FT8 QSOs. Andy was not able to send me the CW log at the same
time. So if you have made a CW QSO since January 18th please stand by until
we have been able to upload the full log. Due to Andy's workload the log
updates will be sporadic, so please be patient".

ARRL INTERNATIONAL DX CONTEST (CW) ---> Object of the contest is for W/VE
amateurs to work as many stations in as many DXCC Entities as possible on
160, 80, 40, 20, 15, and 10 metre bands, while DX stations (also including
KH6, KL7, CY9 and CY0) work as many W/VE amateurs in as many of the 48
contiguous states and provinces as possible (complete rules can be found at
http://www.arrl.org/arrl-dx). This year's event will be held on 15-16

SABLE ISLAND 2020 ---> "Planning countdown has begun as we look forward to
mid-October", the Sable Island DXpedition's team reports. Ten operators
(AA4NC, K4UEE, K5DHY, K5YY, N2IEN, N2TU, N8AA, W4DKS, WA4DAN and WW2DX) will
be active on all bands and modes with four stations for nine days. Donations
are gratefully accepted, as the team has had to get an expensive special use
permit, in addition to the chartered aircraft specially equipped to land on

TI9A ---> The OQRS for the recent DXpedition to Coco's Island is now up and
running on Club Log. The team made 29,139 QSO with 10,245 unique calls on

YASME EXCELLENCE AWARDS & SUPPORTING GRANT ---> In 2008 The Yasme Foundation
(http://www.yasme.org/) established the Yasme Excellence Award, to be
presented to individuals and groups who, through their own service,
creativity, effort and dedication, have made a significant contribution to
amateur radio. The contribution may be in recognition of technical,
operating or organizational achievement, as all three are necessary for
amateur radio to grow and prosper. The Yasme Excellence Award is in the form
of a cash grant and an individually-engraved crystal globe.
The latest recipients, announced on 14 February, are James Sarte, K2QI and
Adrian Ciuperca, KO8SCA "for their efforts in combining the latest state of
the art technology, diplomatic skills, persistence, and leadership. Addi-
tional help with gathering equipment and logistical support was provided by
RA9USU, NT2Y, NT2X, K2LE, and N2UN (SK), culminating in reactivation of the
United Nations Club Station 4U1UN".
The Board of Directors of the Yasme Foundation has also made the following
grants:
* Ethiopian Amateur Radio Society (ET3AA) for VHF equipment.
* Support to the SU8WRC/SU8X demonstration station at the World Radio Con-
ference in Egypt.
* YOTA (Youth On The Air) and HamSCI displays at Dayton Hamvention 2020.
* Contest University at Dayton Hamvention 2020 - support of audio/visual
equipment, student materials (handouts and books), and live internet
streaming connections.
* Hrvatski Radioamaterski Savez, HRS (Croatian Amateur Radio Association) to
