5H - Eugen, DL8AAI will be active as 5H2JK/p during a hiking tour in
Tanzania's Kilimanjaro National Park on 8-14 August, followed by
one more week in the nearby town of Moshi. He will operate mainly
SSB (preferred frequencies 18144 and 21244 kHz), probably starting
around 15 UTC. QSL via home call.
6Y - Amateur radio stations from Jamaica can use the 6Y60 prefix in cel-
ebration of the 60th anniversary since the Colony of Jamaica gained
independence from the United Kingdom (6 August 1962) - e.g., 6Y5WE
will be using 6Y60WE (QSL via EA5ZD), and 6Y5HM will be using
6Y60HM (QSL via EA5GL).
7Q - 7Q7EMH is the new callsign allocated to the amateur radio station
at the Embangweni Mission Hospital, Malawi, which hosted several
operations (e.g. 7Q6M and 7Q7RU). The chief of the station is
Junior Nyirongo, 7Q7JN. QSL via Club Log's OQRS.
8Q - Giovanni, IZ2DPX will be active holiday style as 8Q7AG from the
Maldives (AS-013) on 8-20 August. He will operate SSB and digital
modes on the HF bands and 6 metres. QSL direct to IK2DUW.
8Q - Esteban, EA5Q will be active as 8Q7QE from the Maldives (AS-013) on
14-24 August. He will operate almost exclusively CW. QSL via LoTW,
or via home call (direct and bureau).
A3 - Masa, A35JP (JA0RQV) will be off the air on 3-22 August as he has
to return to Japan owing to a family emergency. Hopefully he will
be back to Tonga in late August until the end of September.
A3 - Stan, LZ1GC and Ivan, LZ1PM will be active as A35GC from Tongatapu
(OC-049), Tonga on 2-20 November. They will operate CW, SSB, RTTY
and FT8 on 160-6 metres with two stations. QSL via Club Log's OQRS,
LoTW, or via LZ1GC (direct or bureau). See https://www.c21gc.com/
for QSLling policy and other information. The original plans were
for Stan and Ivan to be QRV also as E6AM from Niue, but that
operation has been postponed to 2023.
AP - AP75PAK is the special callsign for the Pakistan Amateur Radio So-
ciety to celebrate the 75th anniversary since Pakistan achieved
independence (14 August 1947). Additionally, individual Pakistani
amateur radio operators can use the AP75 prefix on 1-31 August -
e.g. AP2SD will be signing AP75SD (QSL via EA5ZD), and AP2TN will
be signing AP75TN (QSL via RW6HS). A certificate will be available
(see http://pakhams.com/AP75/) "for any combination of 5 QSOs with
AP75 stations".
CN - Taking part in the annual Youth Day's celebrations, members of the
Association Royale des Radioamateurs du Maroc (ARRAM) will be using
the special prefix 5E9 on 16-29 August. Celebrated on the birth day
of the reigning monarch (21 August), Youth Day is a public holiday
that honours the contribution of the youths to the Kingdom.
D2 - Bernie, ZS4TX will be active as D2TX from the Cuando Cubango
Province of Angola (WWL JH85) on 12-16 August. He will focus on 2
metres EME; 6m and 70cm might be added to the operation. He will
also operate CW on 40 metres and up. QSL direct to PA3CMC.
F - Celebrating the 15th anniversary of SOTA France, special callsign
TM2SOTA will be activated for fifteen days between 13 August and 27
September. QSL via eQSL; paper QSLs will not be available.
F - A German team (DJ5KX, DJ8EI, DK5OPA, DL1DCT, DL5KA and DL8KR) will
be active again as TM0BSM from the lighthouse at Berck-sur-Mer,
France on 17-22 August. They will operate CW, SSB and digital modes
on 80-10 metres, plus the QO-100 satellite. QSL via DK5OPA.
FH - Lance, W7GJ will be active as TO7GJ from Mayotte on 6-18 September.
This will be a 6m EME DXpedition, detailed information and instruc-

LoTW or direct to W7GJ.
FO/M - Didier, F6BCW will be active as TX7G from Hiva Oa, Marquesas Is-
lands (OC-027) on 1-15 October. He will operate CW and SSB - also
RTTY and FT8 "if possible" - on 80-10 metres. He plans to be QRV on
a daily basis at 3-7 UTC and 15-17 UTC, as well as "during good DX
openings". He plans to upload his log to Club Log. QSL direct to

all remaining QSOs will be confirmed automatically via the bureau
12 months after he returns home.
HC - Members of the Ecuador DX Club will be active as HD1HERO on 8-12
August to commemorate Ecuador's "First Cry for Independence" from
Spain (10 August 1809). QSL via LOTW. A certificate will be avail-

HL - Celebrating the 77th anniversary of the liberation of Korea (15
August 1945), members of the Korean Amateur Radio League's Chungbuk
HQ will be active as HL77V on 1-31 August. QSL via 6K0MF.
I - Members of ARI Genova (IQ1GE) will be active again, for the 25th
year, as II1L from La Lanterna during the International Lighthouse
Lightship Weekend (20-21 August). Look for activity on 80-2 metres
SSB, CW, FM and digital modes between 8 and 16 UTC on both days.

IS0 - ARI Olbia will be active as IQ0AH/p from Golfo Aranci on 6-7 August
to mark the 90th anniversary of the radio transmission experiments
at microwave frequencies performed by Marconi between Capo Figari
and Rocca di Papa (11 August 1932). QSL via the bureau.
J2 - Jerome "Jeje" Legras, F8FKJ will be active again as J20EE from
Djibouti in August and September. He operates mainly CW and FT8 on
40-10 metres. QSL via Club Log's OQRS, or direct to F4DXW.
J3 - Greg, N9GB will be active holiday style as J3/N9GB (or with a J38xx
callsign, if he gets one) from Grenada on 12-19 August. He will
operate CW, SSB and FT8 on 40-6m, typically during his evening
hours. QSL via N9GB and LoTW. [TNX The Daily DX]
OH0 - OH2JIU, OH2MZB, OH5CW, OH5CY, OH5CZ, OH5ELX and OH5UY (UT5UY) will
be active as OG0C for the Aland Islands (EU-002) on 20-27 August.
Operating from rare square KO09, they will be QRV on 160-2 metres
CW, SSB, FT8 and RTTY, with a focus on 6 metres and the WARC bands.

PA - Members of VERON Utrecht will activate special callsign PA22VUELTA
at varying times on various bands and modes between 18 August and
11 September. QSL via the bureau to PI4UTR. The first three stages
of the 77th Vuelta a Espana, the long distance road bicycle race
(Tour of Spain), will take place in the Netherlands.
S7 - Nuria, EA3WL and Josep, EA3BT will be active holiday style as S79/
EA3WL and S79/EA3BT on 9-23 August from three islands (Praslin, La
Digue and Mahe) in the AF-024 IOTA group. They will operate SSB, CW
and FT8 via satellite (QO-100, RS-44 and others). QSL via Club
Log's OQRS.
V4 - Upcoming activities from St. Kitts (NA-104) include V4/NT5V by Jim,
NT5V on 8-18 August (CW, SSB and FT8; QSL via home call or LoTW)
and V47FWX by Gary, G0FWX on 20-31 August (SSB; QSL via M0URX's
OQRS).
VK - Look for VK2FM (operated by VK2VK, VK4NGN and VK2FM himself) to be
active from South Solitary Island (OC-194) starting around 2 UTC on
19 August until around 2 UTC on 22 August. Main activity will take
place during the International Lighthouse Lightship Weekend on 80,
40 and 20 metres. QSL direct to VK2FM.
VU - AT75IND is the special callsign for Subu, VU2NSL and Sajeev, VU2MSA
to celebrate the 75th anniversary since India achieved independence
(15 August 1947). They will operate SSB and FT8. Also joining the
celebrations will be AT2AAM by members of the West Bengal Radio
Club (VU2WB), and AU75IIH by members of the Indian Institute of
Hams (VU2IIH) on 12-16 August. See qrz.com for QSLling instructions
VU - VU2LU and others will be active as AT2MLH from Mahe Lighthouse,
Puducherry on 12-22 August. QSL via the bureau to VU2LU. Addition-
ally, Rajesh, VU2EXP will be active as AT3VLH from Veraval Light-
house, Gujarat, during the International Lighthouse & Lightship
Weekend. QSL via VU2EXP.
YB - Celebrating the 77th anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia's
proclamation of independence (17 August 1945), special event
stations 8H77RI, 8H77I, 8H77N, 8H77D, 8H77O, 8I77N, 8I77E, 8I77S,
8I77I and 8I77A will be QRV on 13-21 August. Look for activity on
80, 40, 20, 15 and 10 metres SSB, CW, FT8 and RTTY, plus via FM
