3D2AG RBN ---> Sponsored by the YASME Foundation, a new Reverse Beacon Net-
work (RBN) node has been active at 3D2AG's station since 10 November. This
is the first RBN node active from the South Pacific islands; a similar setup
will soon come on the air from 5W1SA's QTH in Samoa.

QSL NL0H VIA M0OXO ---> Henry, NL0H has relocated from Nome (mainland Alas-
ka) to St. Lawrence Island (NA-040). Consequently, there are three separate
logs on M0OXO's OQRS (https://www.m0oxo.com/oqrs/logsearch.php) that cover
Henry's past and current activity:
NL0H = operations from when he lived on the mainland
NL0H/P NA-040 = initial portable operations from the island (May 2019 and
February 2020)
NL0H NA-040 = current operations as a resident on the island
"If you are unsure of where you worked Henry", M0OXO says, "check all three
logbooks or email me". New full colour QSL cards are being printed and will
be available via M0OXO's OQRS or direct only to Charles Wilmott, 60 Church
Hill, Royston, Barnsley, S71 4NG, United Kingdom.

VOACAP ONLINE ---> "A few weeks ago, VOACAP Online for Ham Radio
(https://www.voacap.com/hf/) was moved to a new web platform, and this
change forced me to re-factor the majority of the code in the back-end",
Jari, OH6BG says. "I have now completed this task, and continuously fine-
tuning it, but I am pleased to inform that the coverage area maps and point-
to-point prediction graphs are now much cleaner & neater than before, using
a different mapping library.
In addition, most of the codebase has been optimized and hopefully is more
Robust than ever. Especially the Propagation Planner, the propagation
planning tool for HF contests (e.g. CQWW) & DXpeditions, should now be
faster and also, as a bonus, offers the predicted values as CSV files for a
more detailed analysis. All the same changes have also been implemented on
the site of the VOACAP DX Charts, https://www.voacap.com/dx/.
VOACAP Online for Ham Radio is a free HF propagation prediction service for
the global ham community, running for more than ten years now, with integra-
tions to the DX Summit and Club Log sites, for example. No registration
required, no tracking on the site by Google Analytics, no ads on the pages,
and no subscription fee for the service. Follow and subscribe to the latest
VOACAP developments on Twitter: https://twitter.com/VOACAP/".

+ SILENT KEY + John Devoldere, ON4UN passed away peacefully on 9 November,
after being in declining health over the past few months. Licensed at twenty
years of age in 1961, he soon developed a strong interest in contesting and
DXing on the low bands. In 1979 he was the first operator to earn the 5-Band
WAZ award, and his 80m DXCC overall score (364) still places him in first
position worlwide. The impressive list of John's accomplishments is detailed
in his profile on qrz.com.
He was inducted into the CQ Contest Hall of Fame (1997) and the CQ DX Hall
of Fame (2008); in 2013 he received the YASME Excellence Award, whose justi-
fication says it all: "Along with building one of the premier amateur sta-
tions in the world, John's contributions to the DXing community have been
extensive. Beginning with '80 Meter Dxing', published in 1978, his book
expanded to 'Low-Band DXing', which in its fifth edition [published in 2010,
Ed.] has become the most widely used handbook for operating and building
antenna systems on the bands at 7 MHz and lower frequencies. The book con-
tains important advances in HF amateur technology and encourages operation
on these bands".
A former President of the Union Royale Belge des Amateurs-emetteurs (1998-
2007), in 2008 John co-authored with Mark, ON4WW a comprehensive document
entitled "Ethics and Operating Procedures for the Radio Amateur", whose
principles represent the point of view of the IARU on the subject: see
https://www.iaru-r1.org/on-the-air/code-of-conduct/.
Condolences can be sent to ON4UN.SK[@]gmail.com. A digital farewell ceremony
is being planned for 21 November.

+ SILENT KEY + Wojciech Nietyksza, SP5FM passed away on 6 November, aged 87.
First licensed in 1954 as SP5UX, he "made an enormous contribution to the
work of IARU Region 1 and to the cause of amateur radio in Europe". For ten
terms in a row (1972-2002) he served as Chairman of the IARU Region 1 Exter-
nal Relations Committee, Vice-President and member of the IARU Region 1
Executive Committee. "Being notably active within the ITU, CEPT and other
bodies in the area of the international amateur and professional radio
world, his actions resulted in a significant increase in the importance of
the amateur radio service, and the current possibility of operation on the
extended 7 MHz band was one of his most remarkable achievements". [TNX IARU
