KH6VV/KH4 ---> The DXpedition to Midway Island [425DXN #1476] has been
postponed. "We've all seen the latest pandemic news. It's not progressing in
a good direction, or anything like the earlier predictions", Ron KH6DV
posted to qrz.com on 9 July. "We have encountered a strong and understand-
able pushback related to the original operation date of October 2020. Once
there was the possibility of moving the operation to the second half of Feb-
ruary 2021 the conversation turned more positive. The application for the
Special Use Permit for Midway has now been edited, and now proposes a period
of the second half of February and will be submitted this week. Two things
now need to happen: (1) we need more operator interest, and (2) we need more
donations to the expedition PayPal page(KH6VV[@]outlook.com)".

QSO TODAY VIRTUAL HAM EXPO ---> The first QSO Today Virtual Ham Expo (8-9
August) [425DXN 1519] has now confirmed a packed lineup of over 70 speakers
for the event. After each speaker finishes his talk, there will be a virtual
live Q&A so participants can get immediate answers to their questions. For
more information and to register, go to https://www.qsotodayhamexpo.com/.
Attendance is free and there are early bird prize incentives (donated by
sponsors) for registering by 24 July. The QSO Today Virtual Ham Expo will
run for 48 hours as a live event, then will be available as an on-demand
event for another 30 days.

WWFF SUMMER TOUR ---> Timo, OH1NOA (http://thehamradio.com/) is going on a
"WWFF Summer Tour" to Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. He plans to operate CW
and SSB as ES1NOA/# (12-13 and 22-26 July), YL/OH1NOA (14-17 and 21 July)
and LY/OH1NOA (17-20 July) from 25-30 different protected areas. Updates
will be posted to the World Wide Flora & Fauna programme's website:
http://wwff.co/agenda/. QSL via the bureau and LOTW.

YASME SUPPORTING GRANT TO RBN ---> The Yasme Foundation has allocated funds
to purchase equipment needed to add 15 nodes to the Reverse Beacon Network.
These new nodes will be added in regions where there is a need for reception
reports to support amateur radio operation and where those reports will also
have scientific value for geophysical research.
Yasme was assisted in this effort by supporting grants from the Amateur
Radio Digital Communications team (https://www.ampr.org/), and by scientific
advice from the HamSCI (https://hamsci.org/) researchers. Information on the
node locations will be available after a final list of hosts is available.
